Some time ago I posted that Debbie Robinson was in hospital with a lifethreatening hospital bug. Scared Finally ... she is home after more than a month in hospital. She is still attached to a vacuum pump, which takes the 'nasties' away from her 43cm stomach wound and so is rather frustrating for her. However, although it's going to be a long, slow road for her, she will get there in the end with the help of husband Mick and daughter, Jess. She looks and feels well - the operation she had has helped her to shed about 1.5 stones - so the only good thing about it is that she is the most successful weight-watcher on the forum ! ThumpUp

Her knee replacement has been a great success and she has no pain from it and is in the process of throwing away her crutches after 9 years - whahey ThumpUp

She was so pleased to get all your messages when she was in hospital and I know that a 'welcome home' would buck her up no end - so my friends - let's hear it for Debbie !

Best wishes, Ann

Hi Ann

Thank you for posting, so pleased to hear that Debbie is home and progressing well.

Welcome home Debbie and congrats on the disposal of your crutches! You are one remarkable lady to have got through the difficulties you have encountered along the way. 43 cm wound? Gosh Debbie I don't envy you that one! Fingers crossed the pump will soon be gone and things will return to 'normal', except better of course, with a new knee.

All the best for further progress. Take care Debbie, my thoughts are with you,
